The educational program N\u00f3s Somos Energia \/ EOLO is a project dedicated to teaching about clean energy sources and energy efficiency.<\/p>\n

Aimed at school children between 9 and 10 years old, in the 4th grade, it follows the curriculum plan of the Ministry of Education and Sports of Cape Verde, being a different and innovative way to teach these subjects. Starting in 2015, about 4,811 students from 234 classes in 146 schools in Santiago, S\u00e3o Nicolau, Boa Vista, S\u00e3o Vicente, Fogo and Santo Ant\u00e3o have already participated in the program.<\/p>\n

EOLO visits schools in several islands in the country to present energy sources and to teach how to save energy, in a didactic and fun perspective, bringing animation and joy to the classrooms.<\/p>\n

With an active participation throughout the program - from a participatory intervention when classes are held to involvement with a drawing contest - all children are invited to participate directly in each activity. This action is also extended to all parents, with the development of specific information for the joint promotion of behavior change.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

  EOLO is aimed at children between 9 and 10 years of age, in the 4th grade. Children are the main allies when it comes to changing future behaviors. Due to their enormous capacity for ing, they are tireless and unprejudiced curious people who effectively do the same things differently.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

  The teachers are a key element in the success of the program as they provide continuity to the EOLO after the classes taught by the monitors, getting the students excited about participating in the drawing contest and filling out the Mini Quiz. On the other hand, they accompany the classes throughout the year and can encourage the adoption of new behaviors at school and in the development of activities that are linked to the program.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
