The São Vicente wind farm started injecting energy into the grid in October 2011 and was inaugurated on November 11, 2011.

The wind farm is located in the western part of the island, in the region of Selada de Flamengo, about 6 kilometers from the city of Mindelo. It occupies about 15 hectares of land and contains 7 turbines, with an installed capacity of 5.95 MW.

This park has a maximum daily generation capacity of 142.8 MWh, and is the windiest park in Cabeólica. On November 6, 2019 it reached its record daily generation - 116 MWh, supplying, on that day, 46% of St. Vincent's electricity needs.
